Whom do you Call? As a DEA Member, you have advocates in many levels of the Association. Following is an outline of the available resources:
First Step - Your Building Association Representative (AR): Unless you have a legal issue, potential contract violation, or evaluation problem, your first step should always be to talk with your worksite representative. Most of the time, they'll have the answer or can access the information quickly.
Second Step - Your Executive Board Contact: Every worksite is assigned a DEA Executive Board member to liaison with your AR and you as a member. Your AR will know who this person is, or you can click on "Executive Board Contact Schools" under the "Who's Who at DEA" link.
Third Step - DEA President, Denise Willmore: Your elected DEA president can be reached at the DEA office (801) 451-2277 most afternoons. Denise teaches at Valley View Elementary in the morning and will be available by 12:30 each day. You may also email her at: Denise@dea.org
Fourth Step - Your DEA UniServ Director, Cindy Formeller: Cindy is the advocacy expert. Anything dealing with legal issues, potential contract violations, or evaluation problems should come to the UniServ Director. You may also call or email anytime you need immediate answers or assistance regardless of the seriousness of your concern. The DEA Office number is (801) 451-2277 or email Cindy@dea.org
You always hope you won't need advocate assistance, but when you do, DEA has your back!
