The DEA Executive Board is comprised of 14 members: president, two vice presidents, 4 board members from 2 regions, 1 at-large members, and the UEA Board member for Davis UniServ,. The Board meets monthly during the school year to direct the business of the DEA. Board members serve for two years (except in the case of an appointment to fill a vacancy), and members are limited to two consecutive terms.

Each school (or other district work site or group) has at least one Association Representative (AR). The ARs meet monthly to coordinate Association activities across the district, to relay school concerns, and to conduct Association business.
DEA staff members are employees of the DEA and are hired by the Executive Board. They serve the Association in carrying out the decisions made by the governing officers.
